YOUNGSTERS in Peter Tavy will soon have more reason to enjoy play — the parish council is to provide new play equipment in the parish playing field.
Funding of £14,000 has been secured through the Big Lottery Fund, Devon County Council and West Devon Borough Council. It will provide three new climbing frames, pole walks, a rope-bridge, a double swing frame with a toddler seat and crow's nest and the creation of a natural play area for the under fives.
A scheme was prepared by local contractor Alastair Guy and Sons and the work is due to be completed by May 31.
