STUDENTS from Okehampton College and Chagford Primary School recently enjoyed a day at Castle Drogo making lanterns.
The Year 6 and 7 pupils took part in the activity, which was the second of three days out, set up by the National Trust as part of a school's Art Partnership.
The students were also told stories, myths and legends which revolved around Castle Drogo and inspired their work.
Artist Sandy Berridge and the Med Theatre were also involved in the project.
The next activity will see students participate in devising dramas with the Med Theatre on Monday, November 16.
A lantern promenade performance will be put on from those who were involved in the activity next month.
