Would you like to be one of Terry Pratchetts characterful characters?

The Tavonians Theatre Company will shortly be holding auditions for their next production, an adaptation of Terry Pratchetts discworld novel Maskerade.

It is full of weird and wonderful characters including three witches, an opera diva, and a ghost. There are echoes of Phantom of the Opera with a little of the Scottish play, all brilliantly woven together into a highly entertaining tragi-comedy.

The auditions are on Wednesday August 18 and Thursday August 26 there are two dates in the hope that people can fit the auditions around any holiday plans. There will be a final audition to confirm roles on Thursday September 9. Auditions will be at 7.30pm in the Guide Hall, Tavistock the blue door as you turn from Canal Road into Bedford Car Park.

Rehearsals will start in September and performances will be in the town hall in late November.

This production is part of the 75th anniversary celebrations for the Tavonians. Auditions are open not just to current members of the Tavonians but to anyone else interested in joining the cast or backstage crew.
