AN Okehampton business is teaming up with an important charity to help support the terminally ill. All next week, Stones solicitors in Okehampton will donate at least half the cost of preparing a standard will to Hospiscare, a Devon charity who provide nurses to support people with terminal illnesses in the area. In a statement, Hospiscare said: 'Two thirds of people have yet to make a will, so do take up this opportunity to make sure your wishes are followed. 'All you have to do is make an appointment with participating solicitors during Will Week. Before you go, you may want to think about the assets you have, who you would like to leave special items to and if you would like to leave a gift to charity.' Elizabeth Bevan, from Hospiscare's fundraising team, added: 'Hospiscare relies on gifts people leave us in their will as one of our largest sources of income, yet most of us never get round to making one. 'It's actually quicker, easier and less expensive than we imagine and over thirty solicitors across Devon are willing to help you get around to it. 'Take this opportunity to help Hospiscare and sort out your will.' Hospiscare nurses supported nearly one hundred patients in the Okehampton area last year and this year the charity needs to raise nearly £4 million in order to continue their services across Exeter, mid and east Devon.
