CSV Make a Difference Day takes place on Saturday October 29 and is a great opportunity for people in West Devon and Torridge to improve their communities. Supported by Barclays Community Investment Programme, it is now the UK?s single biggest day of hands-on? volunteering and creates endless social, economic, environmental and cultural benefits for communities. I strongly support the day and I urge your readers to do the same. Last year around 2,326 people took part in Devon. This year is the 10th anniversary, and the Year of the Volunteer, so we hope that even more people than ever before will take part. Anyone can make a difference, from turning wasteland into playgrounds through to baking cakes for elderly and isolated people. Their call centre is now open to help people with ideas.
