WEST Devon CVS and Volunteer Centre has arranged two exciting volunteering opportunities in Okehampton and Tavistock in November.
People wishing to take up volunteering in Tavistock can join the Tidy Tavi group for a morning's litter pick up and tidy up on Saturday, November 3.
Volunteers are meeting at the Wharf at 9.50am, working until noon.
Volunteers are asked to wear suitable outdoor clothing and gloves.
All equipment will be provided and there will be refreshments afterwards.
Geoffrey Cox QC MP for Torridge and West Devon is scheduled to make an appearance.
The Museum of Dartmoor Life is the focus for volunteers' efforts in Okehampton, with a day of clearing, cleaning, shifting and sorting things at the museum on Monday November 5.
The day starts at 10am and runs until 1pm. All equipment will be provided.
Mayor of West Devon Cllr Robin Musgrave is due to attend.
The events have been organised to celebrate CVS Make a Difference Day. Held on October 27, Make a Difference Day is the UK's biggest day of volunteering, and provides opportunities for thousands of people to volunteer every year in activities across the country.
In 2011, 70,000 people took part in more than2,400 events across the UK.
