THE Wharf in Tavistock is the venue for a musical fund raising event for the Plymouth based charity, Safecare Aid to Romania, on Saturday February 9.
West Country stars, a touch of Irish and a pinch of alternative is the recipe for a great evening of music all under the control of MC Mike Manning. Performers include Mad Rush and Geoff Horne, John York, Barry Gee, Ben Campbell, Hanging Johnny to name but a few.
All proceeds will be used by Safecare to continue to fund their millennium project, Casa Trinitata, a permanent home for eight physically and mentally disabled, abandoned children. Safecare built the house in 2000 for the children and is supported by sponsorship and fundraising events involving local people and businesses.
