REFERRING to the photograph of Lydford School printed in your paper on January 13 in an article about the Lydford book written by Mrs Weeks ? the builders featured were Huggins Bros ? later S and R Huggins of Lydford. The photograph was taken in 1912 when the school building was extended. The young children were Stanley and Gilbert (Reg) sitting on their father?s knee. Co-incidentally, Graham Huggins, the son of Reg Huggins, has just reached retirement after 50 years working in the business, which he took over after the death of his father in 1980.
