LENT lunches being held at Endecott House in Chagford this month are proving hugely popular with residents in the area.
Every Thursday during Lent, a different group from the community is offering home made soups with bread for lunch, with all donations being donated to a worthwhile charity.
Chagford resident and parish councillor Richard Davies said: 'They are attracting around 40 to 50 people up there for lunch — there are about six different types of soup on offer and people give what they can for charity.'
Today (Thursday), Morecare, a community support group based in the area, are providing the soup lunch in aid of Devon Air Ambulance. Lent lunches are available between 12.30pm and 2pm.
