East Cornwall division one Roche 1 Tavistock Seconds 3 TAVISTOCK travelled to Roche but poor weather conditions didn?t help their flowing passing game. They also missed goalkeeper Rowe, with Aaron Rocky wearing the gloves. Tavistock took the lead on ten minutes through Adam McPherson?s delicate lob. Five minutes later Roche were punished for some slack defending when Tavistock?s Cowling latched on to an Andy Bacon through ball to square to Bray to fire home. Roche hit back before half time from a goalkeeping error but this didn?t stop Tavistock?s momentum. Man of the match Luke McPherson worked like an engine in midfield and there was a solid performance from the back four. Tavistock pushed forward and a 30yard pass from Bray to Cowling saw him round the keeper to score and put Tavistock top of the table. Managers Karl Gatcum and Mick Piper were pleased with the passion of the team.
