ON a miserable, wet afternoon Okehampton Ladies produced their best 45 minutes of football so far this season.
Dominating play from the start the opposition struggled to string passes together, allowing Okehampton to attack.
Their first goal, while fortunate, was well deserved. Kelly Cooper picked up a loose ball in the penalty area which, once struck, travelled at a snail?s pace across the line.
Okehampton continued to dictate the match, with good play from midfield, defence and goalkeeper Kerry Drew, who had another excellent game in goal. They scored again before half-time when Michelle Vaughan collected the ball outside the box and hit it into goal.
It was North Molton?s turn for a bit of luck, as a shot bounced deceptively into goal to make it 2-1. Their second came through good play as Okehampton began to tire.
The opposition?s third took place after an intense goalmouth scramble ended with an own goal.
