A KITTEN which had its leg amputated after a car accident is now looking for a new and caring home. The male tabby cat, Max, was brought to Tavistock Westmoor Veterinary Centre in July after being rescued by a member of the public from the road accident which left his leg badly damaged. The RSPCA took him in and made every effort to heal Max?s back leg ? but the infection, which had occurred from the accident, meant the limb had to be amputated. Max, described as ?semi-feral?, would make a lovely pet for anyone who could provide lots of time and love in caring for him. Sylvia Marriott cared for Max post-operation and has since fostered him with the help of her husband, Dave, who described Max as a lovely cat, but nervous. He said with time and patience Max will become a dedicated pet and more responsive to cuddles. It would help Max build up his trust if the prospective owner has no other pets and has a secure place. To give Max a new home, contact Sylvia Marriott in the evenings only on 01822 855369.
