A KELLY College student has won a national triathlon competition.

Louise Amery, 16, from Tavistock, came first in the under 17 female category and was the first female overall in the sprint race at the Gatorade Royal Windsor Triathlon.

The event involved a 750m swim in the Thames, followed by a 29km bike ride through the Berkshire countryside and concluded with a 6.6km run through Windsor town centre.

Louise said: ?The win here was fantastic and I am so pleased. The Gatorade Royal Windsor Triathlon is a great race with a proud tradition and I am pleased to be counted amongst its winners.
