THE Robey Trust is inviting people to come and view some rare engines at its Heritage Open Days on Saturday and Sunday, September 14 and 15.
On display will be many rare stationary and steam traction-engines as well as Robey items collected over the past 30 years.
Visitors will be able to see the Robey Steam Wagon, which recently won an award for the best working steam wagon at the recent Great Dorset Steam Fair, the most prestigious event of its kind in the world.
Earlier this year the trust expanded its restoration and display areas and added new catering and conference facilities.
The firm of Robey and Co of Lincoln opened for business in 1854 and closed in 1988.
It is an important marque of British engineering heritage and this year the Robey Trust celebrates its 30th birthday.
The Heritage Open Days will run from 10.30am to 5pm and there will be steam engine rides and refreshments available.
Admission and parking are free.
The Robey Trust is situated in The Parade Business Park, off Pixon Lane in Tavistock.
