THE Okehampton area will be well represented at the South West Christmas Equine Fair at Westpoint near Exeter on December 3 and 4.
Venessa Bee, of Positive Horsemanship/Horse Ability from Halwill Junction, will be providing a demonstration at the event and will have a stand offering advice on horse training and how to take part in horse agility.
More than £2,000 worth of stud fees will be on offer at this year's show.
The fees are from the likes of Colbeach Nightlight, standing at Langaller, Sandro Sun, standing at Rosevidney, Bollin Eric, Colmer stud, Airborn, Shovern stud, Spirit Landing, Stormhill stud, and IJ Poco Silver Comet, Dural stud.
A full listing of the stud fees on offer will be available to visitors at the show along with the rules of entry.
A Fell stallion from Lydvale Pony Stud in Lewdown will be taking part in the native stallion parade on Sunday, December 4, and in the showing classes, two competitors have won a place who are based in the Okehampton area.
Horse agility will be showcased in the arena on Saturday December 3.
There will be a large competitive element at the show this year.
The junior show jumping competition will be open to juniors aged 14 and under and ponies 13.2hh and under on Sunday December 4. There are places available for 15 entrants. The showing classes will take place on both show days — open ridden, any type or colour — under 153cm on Saturday and over 153cm on Sunday.
