THERE'S an opportunity to create some wild art, make pizzas and hunt chocolate eggs this Easter at the National Trust's Cotehele Estate.

There will be an assortment of fun outdoor activities for families from Monday, March 3 until Friday, April 10.

Visitor services and volunteer manager Charmian Saunders said: 'I love Easter at Cotehele. The property really starts to buzz.

'Families are here having a great time, either running around the garden or exploring the wider estate.'

Children can get in touch with their inner adventurer and become an 'Eggsplorer' on a Cadbury Easter egg trail around the garden.

There will also be a dog-friendly alternative spring trail in the woods with a prize at the end and a wild art day in the meadow.

Easter activities will culminate with a pizza-making day at Cotehele Mill on April 10.

Sally Newton, Cotehele Mill custodian, said: 'This is always a really popular event because everyone loves pizza.

'Our demonstration bakery becomes a hive of activity with a production line of wholemeal bread dough made from our own home-milled flour, tomato sauce, cheese, olives, peppers and other toppings. All day long there are pizzas at different stages of being ready — the smell is fantastic.'
