FATHER Christmas will be taking time out of his busy schedule to make a stop off at TASS's Christmas Fair at the end of this month.
On sale at the fair will be good quality Christmas presents, tree decorations, books and music for the festive season and tasty treats.
Fundraiser Bryan Podmore said: 'This year's fair will have a wonderful collection of goods for everyone.
'On our 'presents' table we have all sorts of gifts, including an acoustic guitar with carrying case and music books selling for just £25, as well as hand-knitted Christmas tree decorations selling from £1.50, plus many more quality goods. Be early for these treats — once they've gone, they've gone.'
There will be a welcome return for the TASS 'masterchef' cake-makers who, as well as baking traditional fruit-laden Christmas cakes, will also have treats such as chocolate fudge, and wonderful Welshcakes. The centre-piece of this stall will be the 'very-naughty' chocolate on chocolate cake that will be raffled on the day of the fair.
The 'fun' day at the fair will include a tombola, name the tiger, and the big Christmas raffle. The children's tombola will have guaranteed prizes.
The fair, being held on November 30 at the Anchorage Centre, Tavistock, will run from 10am to 3pm and admission at £1 will include tea/coffee and a mince pie.
TASS is a local charity that supports the elderly, the socially isolated and those with mobility problems in Tavistock and the surrounding villages. It re-cycles all money taken for the benefit of LOCAL people, and it is well worth supporting them.
