AFTER a Tavistock taxi driver found that one of his passengers had accidentally left a personal gift in his car, the Times are helping him to try and return it to its owner.

Tony Smith handed in a copy of George Smart The Tailor of Frant; Artist in cloth and velvet figures by Jonathan Christie to the Times office in the hope it can be reunited with its owner.

On the inside page there reads a personal message, stating ’To my godmother Helen, Happy birthday! With much love from Vicky 29th May 2016’.
