DEVON Open Studios, the annual, county-wide feast of art when artists throw open their doors to the public, is seeking artists to take part in next year's event.

The largest event of its kind in the county, Devon Open Studios 2010 will take place from September 4 to 19,  showcasing high quality work by artists across Devon. 

Registration for the event will open on January 5 and artists and makers in all media, including digital, sound and installation artists are invited to take part.

Interested artists can download the application form and guidance notes from the Devon Artist Network website from January 5 at http://www.devonartistnetwork.co.uk/DOSRegistration">www.devonartistnetwork.co.uk/DOSRegistration

Alternatively, forms can be emailed by contacting Linda Hajdukiewicz, the open studios coordinator at  [email protected]">[email protected] or ring Linda for a form and guidance notes on 07768 164 560, leaving details of where the forms should be sent.

The deadline for applications is February 28.

Fees for 2010 have been held at 2009 prices — they start from £150 for solo artists at a single venue, representing less than £10 per day to take part.

For 2010 artists do not need to subscribe to Devon Artist Network to take part.

Devon Open Studios is one of there highlights of Devon's cultural calendar and last year attracted more than 30,000 visitors from the south west and beyond.
