IT is almost a year since we moved from east Devon and now live on the edge of Dartmoor surrounded by the peace and tranquility of the country roads and the open countryside.

It takes me back in time to my early years and home in Frenchay, S Glos, in the 1920/30/and40s where it was 20 minutes' walk to the nearest small shop. My bicycle was my passport to the world beyond — now we have the friendly 118 to take us to Tavistock, Okehampton and beyond (their Christmas 'lights' were wonderful).

Life was simple but good, and still is — look around and enjoy what you have here and enjoy every day.
