AN OKEHAMPTON woman is embarking on a sponsored walk with her two dogs a year after completing her previous charity walk.
Margot McElligott will set out on a 60 mile walk on May 7, 8 and 9, with her dogs Mac and Mole.
Margot is raising funds for the Cinnamon Trust, a charity which offers practical help for elderly and terminally ill people and their much loved pets.
Last year, Margot walked more than 80 miles across the moors in five days to raise more than £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
If anyone would like to sponsor Margot cheques can be made payable to: ?M McElligott Walk for Cinnamon Trust? and sent to 1 Chalet Treloar, Simmons Park, Okehampton.
Margot would also like to take the opportunity to thank all her many sponsors from last year.
She expressed gratitude to Mole Avon for supplying her walking boots, Martin of GTI Stationery for photocopies, the Plymouth Inn, Leslie and Alex at PetEquine, the vets in Chagford, Judi at the Ring O?Bells and Ann at the Tors Hotel.
She also thanked Jayne Dracup at South Devon Foxhounds for hospitality and a bed, and the Mid Devon Hunt and Pony Club ? especially Guy Alman for hospitality, and all his help this year planning her routes.
Margot thanked her children for their support and friends Janet Voaden, who trailed after her last year, and Sorrel Carter, who is forever behind her.
She also thanked all Mac and Mole?s friends in the park.
