Ian Peacock has retired as Bere Alston chemist after 28 years. He has been much loved by the village community, always taking a personal interest in people’s medical requirements and giving advice. On Tuesday, September 28 at the monthly parish council meeting Cllr Peter Crozier, chair of the council, presented him with a specially carved rose bowl, made locally. The Bere Peninsula Pharmacy will continue under new ownership.
