ONE little duckling was left far behind at the North Tawton Scout Group?s duck race last Sunday, trailing in 30 minutes after all the rest.

At the front end of the field, the duck race results were as follows: 1st, Jennifer Lanchberry, £30; 2nd, Carol Dadds, £20; 3rd, Jane Symonds, £10.

A sack race and an egg and spoon race were popular with adults and children among the fun day events held at North Tawton Rugby Club.

The stocks were kept busy with many people being nominated for a soaking, including group scout leader Rosie Crisp.

Organisers thanked all who came along and supported the scout group.
