A PLEA for more lollipop people in Tavistock came from the county's school crossings officer this week.
Andrew Eagles told the Times that although he has people in post for crossings at Whitchurch and Callington Road in Tavistock, he has no-one to step in to cover sick leave.
'If anyone would be willing to train as a reserve for either site they should contact me on 01392 382247,' said Mr Eagles.
The position includes free uniform and insurance and full training.
