Local suppliers were the focus of a West Country producers' day at the Moorland Garden Hotel last Friday.

The free event offered visitors the opportunity to meet the producers, sample their wares and watch demonstrations on how to best use the ingredients.

The hotel's new head chef, Bruce Cole, ensures diners are being served the best local food. This includes lamb and beef supplied by DFL, a co-operative of moor-based producers raising native breeds of beef and lamb on and around their farms scattered throughout Dartmoor National Park

Bruce is pictured with hotel manager Andrew Jenkins, head of promotions Jo Di Carlo and one of the exhibitors at the event, Colin Honey from Honey's Bakery in Horrabridge.
