WHEN walking home from town last Friday (May 4), I saw a woman several yards ahead of me throw something into the road. It must have missed its target because she stepped off the pavement and pushed it with her foot.

When I reached that spot I could see a small piece of clean white paper through the grating of a drain cover on top of the usual dirt and debris to be seen in drains.

I could name and shame her but I won't. She will know who she is and maybe she can try to make amends by joining the Tidy Tavy group.

They do a grand job clearing up the town so why are others so thoughtless?
