CALLINGTON Lions have offered to pay for new sports equipment for the Woodland Way project in Gunnislake. The club was one organisation approached by police community support officer Nicole Garcia in the summer, in a bid to improve facilities for youngsters in the village. Ms Garcia said: 'It was a very kind offer by the club and when the time comes that we can carry out the project at Woodland Way we will decide on the piece of equipment they will fund. 'We are still looking for pledges as we had no luck with our lottery bid and it is a large amount of money we are looking for.'
