GET your trainers at the ready and join in with Tavistock Rotary Club's fun runs at the start of carnival week next month.

Tavistock Rotary Club, in conjunction with Tavistock Athletic Club and West Devon Borough Council, is again organising the fun runs with all proceeds going to local Rotary charities.

The races, on Sunday July 10, will start at Kilworthy council car park where parking and toilet facilities will be available.

Due to popular demand there will also be a men's race this year. As with last year the ladies' and men's race will follow a five-mile course out along the old railway line to Crease Lane, out to Mill Hill quarry and back to the car park.

The ladies' race will start at 10am and the men's at 11am

The junior race will go from the car park to Crease Lane and back, a distance of a mile and threequarters, starting at 10.10am.

Tavistock Rotary president Clive Fairchild and West Devon mayor Cllr Donald Horn will start the races and present the trophies.

Organisers expressed thanks to the Market Inn and to Active Sport Co, of Tavistock, for their support and sponsorship of this event.

Entry for the races is £6 per adult and £3 for juniors.
