BUILDING on the growing reputation of Lewdown Cricket Club, the Lewdown Cricket Academy has been created to meet the needs of the ever increasing and varied club membership.
Boasting ex England players and coaches, county players and coaches, and 'award winning coaches' the mission is to provide the highest standard of coaching possible, ensuring that any child who attends benefits technically, mentally, physically, with increased confidence.
Services offered include: one-to-one coaching; group coaching; club coaching; coaching in schools; cricket camps; festivals/tournaments; cricket parties and multi skills.
Parent of an academy member Graham Horn said: 'We have been more than impressed with the warm, friendly welcome that we received at Lewdown Cricket Academy. The boys are enjoying their cricket and we can see their improvement. A well run organisation with committed members.'
OCRA also endorsed the academy. A spokesman said: 'Lewdown Cricket Academy have helped local primary schools and held a recent festival that was enjoyed by all. Brenden has also worked at Okehampton College in helping cricket development for all abilities.

With the junior pre season programme fully booked and well under way, 24 boys and girls under the age of 12 are enjoying structured and fun coaching and games in Parklands, Okehampton every other Sunday afternoon.
The Lewdown Cricket Academy caters for all ages and abilities.
Lewdown CC have 10 competitive senior and junior teams this coming season and welcome new players of all abilities.
