WHILE it may be beneficial to Mr Cox personally to start up Counsel’s Chambers, I wonder what he is doing to earn the meagre amount he is being paid to represent the West Devon constituency?

In North Cornwall the MP is being criticised for being both an MP and local councillor.

I have been trying to find out what contribution Mr Cox has made to try to improve the situation locally with regards to the following: the return of the railway to Okehampton, the black alert and bed blocking – at Derriford Hospital,  the destruction of Dartmoor near Hemerdon because of a tungsten mine, the flooding occurring locally because of the lack of trees on Dartmoor — due no doubt to the wish of the local ‘gentry’ to participate in fox hunting, the effect of the Government decision to put back the Care Act 2014 on social service, how his constituents are managing in the wake of the bedroom tax, how are the unemployed living in rural areas to gain a job when they do not have transport and there is only a bus once a week.

Apart from his appearance once to make a statement I wonder how often he has said anything about anything in the House of Commons!

As he was elected by the good people of West Devon following selection by the privileged few in the local Conservative office  I must assume that he knows best how to represent the area. No doubt there is a master plan to which I am not privy.
