Tavistock 5 Mary Tavy 0 THE visitors gave a good account of themselves despite the final score and for the first half an hour kept the Lambs at bay with some good defending and wayward shooting from the home side. But it was on 30 minutes when Tony Rawlins? kick out was headed back by John Hadjiyianni to put Mark Conday clear to slot home. Ten minutes later it was two when after a good move by several players James Steer was able to cross for Conday to head home via a deflection. Conday forced a corner 10 minutes in to the second half and from it John Morris stabbed home at the far post. Rawlins pulled off a great save from Sean Cann, and Paul Cowling went close before Hadjiyanni sent Cowling down the wing to cross for the unmarked Conday to pick his spot for his hat trick. Tavistock got their final goal with 10 minutes remaining when sub Craig Hodge sent a cross field ball into the path of Lee Ireland to blast home. Ireland had a chance just after to add to the total but shot over when well placed. This proved another good work out for the Lambs as the new season fast approaches, and Mary Tavy added to an entertaining game. Team: Andy Meeds, Sean Cann, Will Westlake, John Morris, Pete Southcott, Mike Arscott, James Steer, John Hadjiyanni, Paul Cowling, Mark Conday, Lee Ireland. All subs used Pete Gibson, Craig Hodge and Jason Clancey.
