REFERENCE the proposed closure of the short-cut at New Bridge Gunnislake:

Here we go again, first the so called traffic calming at Grenofen and now the closure of the short-cut.

Does Brian George realise the utter frustration he will cause by closing the bottom half of the short cut at Gunnislake? Drivers will have to follow slow lorries up the hill when they can now pass them safely in the bottom short-cut.

If this is closed drivers will be tempted to use the second short-cut which has a crossroads to pass through and a nasty semi-blind exit back onto the main road. This will surely cause more accidents than at present; speaking of which, are these so called sufficient accidents a result of the road alterations made some years ago at the New Bridge end of the short-cut?

I suggest leave it as it is and all the money that will be wasted if this proposal goes ahead is used to reinstate the Grenofen-Whitchurch road.
