CHILDREN from years 1 and 2 at Tavistock Community Primary School have been attending a French Club with a difference this term.
Thanks to Tavistock College Year 10 language leaders, Ryan Maloney and Nick Hill, along with their teacher, Sally Bartlett, and KS1 teacher, Dawn Sherrell, the children have been learning French in a fun and creative way through songs, games and other interactive activities.
They have also been introduced to various aspects of French culture, a particular favourite being French food tasting!
The culmination of the children's learning was a French day at Tavistock College, organised by Ryan and Nick, where the children took part in exciting activities and had a tasty French lunch.
Tavistock Primary headteacher, Lynnette Selbie, said: 'This is a terrific collaboration between the college and our school, and we are very grateful to Nick, Ryan and Mme Bartlett for giving up their time and making language learning such fun for our KS1 children.'
