OKEHAMPTON will be celebrating family learning with a whole host of events at the town's primary school on Saturday, October 11.
Events on offer this year include the popular storytelling with Clive Pigg, multiskills and multisport, survival and camp skills, environmental crafts, workshop under the sky with local artist Jenny Hale and Morris dancing.
Among new workshops this year are an animation workshop Elfic the Jester, Ukulele workshops, and dance workshops offering a mix of street dance and other styles.
The Family Learning Festival (FLF) is an awareness campaign which aims to highlight the importance that families can have in supporting each other's learning.
This year under fives will be included in events on offer. Booking forms and information will be handed out to all children attending Okehampton Primary School and further forms are available from Okehampton Library.
For the under fives there will be soft play activity sessions on offer in the morning and craft sessions in the afternoon.
This year's event organised by Okehampton FLF has been funded by Okehampton Educational Foundation, Rotary Club of Okehampton and Okehampton and District Lions.
This year there is a charge of £2 per family, which will include refreshments.
