A TAVISTOCK College student has spent two days at the University of Plymouth learning about sports psychology and working as a team.
Benji Samuel attended a sports psychology course for gifted and talented students to learn how to excel at his chosen sport.
He said: 'The course was absolutely amazing; I'm so glad I went.
'On the first day we looked at our diets and what we had eaten the previous day, ready for the second day. We also looked at what we remembered as our favourite sporting moment and why we wanted to get involved with the sport. We then tried to visualize that moment and how we felt.'
Benji said the group looked at the qualities needed to 'be the best' and work as part of a team. Their time was not all spent in the classroom, and the students had the chance to take part in practical sporting activities designed to develop their communication and teamwork.
