A CHILDREN?S charity which started life in Tavistock will be updating local supporters of its work at an event at Kelly College tomorrow (Friday).
Liberis, which had its first headquarters in Brook Street, has been working for two years with some of the most disadvantaged children in Romania, providing homes and support services.
To date, more than 60 children have benefitted from the organisation?s work and a day centre has just been opened for children with special needs.
Former pupil of Kelly College Amanda Bridgewater, one of the founders of Liberis, and fellow charity director Tom Davies will be reporting first hand on their most recent visit to Romania.
Entertainment will come from Peter Williams, a former Kelly housemaster, who will be offering amusing and fascinating insights into the work of Chaucer.
