AN internationally renowned concert organist will perform in Tavistock next week to celebrate the completion of the parish church?s organ restoration appeal. Carlo Curley has performed in major venues throughout the world, including Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, South Africa and France and has been a guest at such festivals as Edinburgh, Bath and the City of London. He has toured North America extensively and was the first organist to give a classical concert at the White House. Dr Sean Sweeney, director of music at St Eustachius Church, said: ?His playing is outstanding and his many appearances locally, most notably at Mount House School, have been met with rapturous applause ? it is not often that Tavistock is able to host a musician of such calibre.?
