LAWSONS in Tavistock has been recognised as an Investor in People ? for the third time!
The store on Parkwood Road has been awarded the prestigious standard for their commitment to staff training and development.
Managing director Liz Lawson said: ?We are fully committed to developing workforce skills in order to achieve our wider business aims and objectives in the company.
?We have used the Investors in People planning process to address our needs and have now implemented a training and development programme.
?We will constantly evaluate this to ensure our workforce has the most up-to-date skills in order that we build on our success.?
Lawsons has many long serving staff, including Tony Maestri who is soon to retire after 50 years at the firm.
The Investor in People standard is awarded by the Department for Education and Skills.
