2312 (TAVISTOCK) Squadron Air Cadets recently enrolled its latest batch of new recruits.

Ten cadets have completed instruction in basic drill, care of uniform, the history of the ATC and rifle shooting. The cadets from Tavistock and district were enrolled by Plymouth and Cornwall Wing Chaplain, the Rev Brian Anderson.

Squadron CO John Olver said: ‘It is very pleasing to be able to enrol so many new cadets.

‘Both our unit and 2443 (Okehampton) Squadron will now be looking to recruit more cadets to start the summer training programme. There are also opportunities for adults to become instructors. No service experience is required. The air cadets is a great hobby for adults as well as young people.’
