TAVISTOCK looked to carry on their recent good form and never gave up on their attacking mentality and looked to start with a bang. With some solid defending from Saltash, Tavistock were limited only to long shots.
As the first half went on, the game began to get a bit scrappy which went in Tavistock's favour as the defensive partnership of Beth Alford and Beth Lamerton were as impressive.
Tavistock fell behind with a shot from the Saltash midfielder deflected past keeper Ellie Oaten and into the goal. With the half coming to a close Tavistock bombarded the Saltash penalty area and went close with a strike from Heather Wright.
As the second half began Tavistock midfield — captain Heather Wright, Jess Eales and Sophie Bould-Lynch — never gave the Saltash players a chance to win the ball. Jess Bould-Lynch and Shannon Fisher had chances to score for Tavistock.
With seconds left to play a corner from Jess Bould-Lynch the ball was missed by everyone, including the Saltash players and went straight into the back of the net.
