THIS match was the last of the season for Tavistock Ladies. They had lost the last three matches and were eager to end on a good note. With five of their main players missing it was a scratch team. Thanks to Rachel and Caroline from Kelly College for filling in.

The two teams were evenly matched with attacks on both goals from the start. Both goalies had their work cut out to keep the ball out of the net. Eventually Tavistock scored with Sarah Creates nicking the ball away.

Tavistock started to play an attacking game but were guilty at times of leaving the midfield unmarked allowing Bude to have an easy run.

At times it was only due to the skill of Julie McGowan, the keeper, that goals were not scored. Bude scored the equaliser just before half-time.

In the second half it was not long before Bude went one ahead with a well worked manoeuvre.

The equaliser came from a scramble around the goal with Rachel and Sarah getting the ball over the line.
