Devon FA Women's League
Okehampton Argyle Ladies 0
Lyme Regis Lasers 2
TRACEY Mills made a welcome return to the Okehampton side having missed most of the season. Also making a return from holiday was Gina and Jessica Burdus. But Okehampton could still not gain the win their performance deserved.
Okehampton pushed forward from the start and created chances but the killer pass just could not be found.
Lyme Regis scored their first with a quick break from defence the shot giving Karen Clark little chance.
Again, Okehampton pushed forward looking for an equaliser but following a period of pressure Lyme Regis broke out to make it 2-0.
Okehampton kept the pressure up with Lisa White, Tanya Casley and Michelle Vaughan all having scoring opportunities.
The second half was all Okehampton's with Lyme Regis's defence working overtime to keep their side in the game. Lyme Regis felt aggrieved when the referee waved away a penalty appeal.
Despite the result this was a good performance from all the Okehampton players who over the season have improved immensely and can be proud of the performances they have put in both in training and on the pitch on Sundays.
