THE Lamerton Point to Point will be held at Kilworthy, Tavistock, on Sunday, March 27. Kilworthy is on the A386 Tavistock to Okehampton road and the course will be clearly signposted.
The course is in excellent condition and after a good drying spell should run extremely well with good competitive racing. There are 135 entries running in the seven races that are scheduled with the first starting at 1pm.
Many of the West Country's leading point to point owners are entered and as last years racing produced exciting and thrilling finishes we are hoping for a repeat performance this year. The Restricted open race with 28 horses entered should be hotly contested and as should the two divisions of the Maiden with 23 entries in each.
The weather forecast is for a clear sunny day and Kilworthy remains an excellent viewing course for spectators and, together with trade stands, hot and cold refreshments and bar it promises to be an exciting day out for all the family. Access has been improved and entry is £10 for a car and driver and £5 for any other passengers.
Enquires to 01822 860253.
