TAVISTOCK ladies second hockey team were on the attack from the start and soon rewarded with a goal set up by Sue Gawman and put over the line by Isabel Lamb. This was closely followed by a solo run by Gawman who beat the defence and put away a lovely goal.
Mannamead fought back and put Tavistock under pressure resulting in a goal which had the Tavistock defence well beaten.
Tavistock replied with renewed pressure and after several attacks on the Mannamead goal scored again off Janet Simmons following a skirmish in the goalmouth.
The second half saw pressure from both sides but although Tavistock had several chances they were unable to convert any to a goal.
