ROADFORD Lake between Okehampton and Launceston will host South West Lakes Trust?s first Christmas Food and Craft Fair this November, in the new Lakeside function suite. A wide range of local food and craft exhibitors, representing the vast array of culinary delicacies and extraordinary crafts available in the South West, will be housed at Lakeside on November 27. Cairns Boston, chairman of the trust said: ?Local food and rural crafts are important to the area and this event is a fantastic opportunity to show off what we have to offer here in the South West in the run up to Christmas.? This event follows the success of Food and Craft Fairs held in the past at other South West Lakes Trust sites and also of the South West Forest Wood Fair which attracted over 5,000 visitors. There will be fun for all the family with a Santa?s Grotto, face painting for the children and the new visitor centre, plus the opportunity to buy and try flavoursome, fresh and local ingredients and Christmas gifts. Anyone interested in attending the event as an exhibitor should contact Rachel Hayes, marketing and publicity assistant at South West Lakes Trust headquarters on 01566 771 930 or email [email protected]">[email protected]
