THE South West Lakes Trust is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the team and provide assistance at the visitor centre at Roadford Lake.

The visitor centre at Lakeside is seeking volunteers to meet and greet visitors, provide information and answer questions from the general public.

Roadford Lake offers a number of activities on the water for visitors, such as windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and trout angling, as well as footpaths, cycle tracks, a children's play area, café and the visitor centre.

Knowledge of Roadford Lake is not necessary as full training and briefing notes will be provided, along with a set of frequently asked questions with answers.

As a charity, the South West Lakes Trust relies on the support of its volunteers, and recognises this formally each year at the volunteer awards evening.

Anyone who enjoys the countryside, and is looking for a rewarding and sociable experience is encouraged to become a volunteer for the centre.
