Wednesday saw a visit from Plymouth Devonport Park for an evening match that ended as a 74-69 victory for the Tavaistock players, after they won three of the four rinks played. Skip Vic Stacey and his squad of John Smith, Der Saunders and David Perry won 24-10. while skip Mike Allen and his team of Norman Paramor, Wallace Northey and John Timmins achieved a 19-14 victory. Skip Clive Jago and his crew of Ernie Piper, Bill Ashe and Walter Meek won 20-16 and skip Malcolm Bloomer and his squad of Barry Chappell, Gordon Northey and Brian Ellicott went down 11-29. Friday evening saw a Tavistock five rink team travel to Yelverton for a local derby. The five rink triples match ended as a 93-78 victory for the home side after they won on three of the rinks.
