OKEHAMPTON bounced back well from last weeks undeserved 3-2 defeat at Axminster to take three points from Feniton Ladies, lifting them to third in the league.
Okehampton dominated the first half with Abby Williams and Kelly Cooper controlling the midfield. Mel Grimes and Kelly Cann worked tirelessly on the wings and there were many opportunities going forward. Sam Robertson opened the scoring after 20 minutes, latching onto a great through ball from Cooper. She doubled her tally on the stroke of half time, skillfully lobbing the Feniton keeper.
Feniton battled well in the second half but were unable to break past Okehampton's strong defence. Jude Daniel had a great debut in the Okehampton goal, confidently clearing the few shots that came her way.
Okehampton extended their lead with 15 minutes to play after another cross from Cooper deflected off a Feniton defender into the back of the net.
