TAVISTOCK Specials Football Club players will walk out on to the pitch next month in red, white and blue — the colours of British Airways — in honour of a local woman who died recently aged 28. Caroline Goldring was a dedicated and popular member of staff with BA and a firm supporter of the Tavi Specials. With Caroline's name stitched on the arm of the new shirts, the kit was created in her memory and was a gift from Caroline's parents Valerie and Graham Goldring. Graham said: 'We wanted to do something for the Specials for the way they treated Caroline. 'She was very close to the Specials and they were all good friends — it's a little thank you from us for the way they took her into their hearts.' The new kit will be worn for the first time at the team's first fixture at Newton Abbot on September 21. Allen Lewis, who is the manager of the Tavi Specials football team, said: 'From all of us at the Tavi Specials I want to say a huge thank you. 'We all loved her so much and we will be so proud to walk out in the kit.'
