THE 'KING of Swing' Michael Campari will be headlining live music acts during Callington's Honey Fair on October 3, a new addition to the event.
The town will be buzzing with something for everyone this year as Honey Fair provides a mixture of traditional and new ideas.
There will be a large street fair full of goods, and Rowlands Funfair will keep the children happy.
In Callington Town Hall the beekeepers will have a selection of honey products as well as live bees and the town crier competition will take place.
Local schools have been busy creating pictures for the children's art competition and their entries can be seen in the hall all through the day from 9am to 7pm. Honey cream teas will be served.
Around the town there will be a shop window competition on the theme of movies, offering a chance to spot the bees and track down the mystery word. Entry forms are available in the town hall.
Visitors will be welcome in St Mary's Church and the Methodist Chapel where food will be on offer.
A street stage featuring Michael Campari in the afternoon will also see other live music performances during the day and early evening. In the council chamber the amazing world of the fantasy game 'Warhammer' will keep everyone enthralled.
The whole of New Road and the car park will be closed to traffic on Honey Fair day. Alternative parking will be available at the Saltash Road free car park and the recreation field. Money raised will go to Lions charities.
